It was actually surprisingly easy (and I'm female!!) To get the old stuff just get a hairdryer to warm the old stuff up and most of it peeled off in one go, although some of it was a pain and decided to flake, and then Al put the carbon fibre wrap on, hairdryer to heat it so it stretched out...
