£8000 ONO.
Tax'd until 01.06.2014, MOT'd until 15.12.2015.
Based in Altrincham, WA14, happy to collect potential buyers from train or airport.
I've got a serious itch to scratch and unfortuantely I can't afford to run two performance cars.
I'm the second owner of ''Nicole'' and purchased her in May 2010 from Lookers Altrincham completely unmodified with a full service history on 30689Miles. From the factory she had been spec'd from Arnold Clark Warrington in Deep Black with Rear Privacy Glass (''smoked''), Automatic Lights/Wipers and Automatic Climate Control with the date of first registration being 14.05.2007. Since then she has undergone a bit of a transformation, which to be honest was never part of the plan but you know how these things develop once The Man Maths kicks in.
Service History Pre Conversion;
12184Miles - 25.05.2008 - Arnold Clark Warrington = Air Filter, Oil & Oil Filter (10W40)
29744Miles - 06.08.2009 - Kwik Fit Warrington= Air Filter, Oil & Oil Filter (10W40)
30739Miles - 26.02.2010 - Lookers Altrincham = Air Filter, Oil & Filter (10W40)
36532Miles - 11.04.2011 - Northwest Performance = Plugs, Coolant, Oil & Oil Filter (Renault Coolant, Renault Filter & Elf Evolution SXR 5W40)
38102Miles - 23.06.2011 - Northwest Performance = HEL Brake Hoses, 197 Cup Dampers, H&R -35mm/-40mm Springs, Millers Oils 300+ Brake Fluid
42843Miles - 13.01.2012 - SC Auto Electrics = Air Filter, Oil & Oil Filter (Renault Filter & Elf Evolution SXR 5W40)
47281Miles - 28.01.2013 - SC Auto Electrics = Oil & Oil Filter (Renault Filter & Elf Evolution SXR 5W40)
On 23 March 2013, she suffered a clutch/gearbox failure at 48964Miles and was SORN'd to undergo what became her ''makeover''. The original plan was to replace the clutch/gearbox and also carry out the cambelt service to the original engine at the same time. However, this idea was soon scrapped and instead the engine and gearbox were replaced with those from a 2007 Renaultsport Megane 225 (50000Miles). The work was carried out by SC Auto Electrics (Bolton) who are Renaultsport specialists and had already carried out several of these conversions, with this one coming to completion on 20 December 2013 at a total cost of £6000. Throughout the conversion the mantra was ''overengineered and understressed'' and both the finish of the work and the quality of the parts used reflect this perfectly (as per the list further down). Needless to say, the new engine also underwent a full cleanse and service with all new coils, plugs, belts and tensioners.

As well as all of the above, the sale will include a K-Tec/Magnex rear silencer and a set of Carbone Lorraine R3 spec' pads (RC8 front, RC6 rears). I have recently purchased a set of refurbished (seals, pistons, nipples) Brembo four pots for the front and if they aren't already on the car before she sells then they will be included in the sale as well although they are due to be fitted in the next few weeks with another brake fluid change obviously being carried out at the same time.
Of course every car has its bad points, so let's get them out of the way. There's a minor scuff, roughly an inch square, around one of the foglights on the front bumper, which could probably be polished out by somebody with more talent than me and there's a scuff roughly the size of a twenty pence coin on the rear bumper, which could be fixed with a smart repair. The wheels are a recent aquisition from a Megane R26 trackday car and as such are a bit scuffed but they're straight and balance perfectly so a refurb would sort them out a treat. All of these things were on my to-do list for the spring once the crap weather is out of the way. Beyond those, there's the usual stone chip here and there but these do mask up well after a good polish. The steering wheel could do with a retrim or replacing as it's suffering from the usual ''Renaultsport Melt''. I'm trying to think of any other blemishes but there's nothing that comes to mind...
She has been used on track (pre conversion) but she has also been well looked after and has never wanted for anything. It's a cliche but it'll be a shame to see her go really. More photos and information available on request, I work very early mornings and I drive for a living so if you can't get an answer from me please leave a voicemail and I'll return your call as soon as I can. Contact me on 07816287536 or via [email protected].
Cheers,
Will
