Hi chaps,

First time poster but own a 1.6 GT Line Wind Roadster.

Only use it at weekends occasionally but thought I'd upgrade the panel filter to a Pipercross one. Big mistake. Bad fit and then checked out these forums.

After a week and only 30 miles mine had split along one of the rubber edges. Luckily I'd ordered a BMC one before this (what a filter...so well made).

Anyways, fitted it. Great filter. Proper fit and hopefully will get a refund on the Pipercross but managed to slightly chew up one of the heads of the torx head screws on the filter box.

Anyone know if these are an official Renault part or know of replacements?

Moved the screw to the front now but would like a new set.

Ta!

Hi Damo

Did you notice that the top part of the airbox did not screw down as far as before?
I fitted my bmc panel last week - and think it is because the red rubber moulding on the bmc is stiffer than the more compressible foam affair on the OEM one.

It does seem to make a good seal though.
Runs much smoother, cant say loads more power but happy mod for £50.

BTT, whip a screw out and pop it in to your local bolt supplier or screwfix, unless someone can advise part number

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I struggled a bit with the Pipercross one (needing some pressure to screw the lid back on) but the BMC just slotted in perfectly :)

I phoned a local dealer to try and explain which part I was on about but she wasn't sure. I'll pop down at some point as it must be a service part or as you say a normal screw.
