since we came close to selling car i sent back adjuatble shocks i had. this time around buying a slightly cheaper lot ( but still works out as £100 a corner :( ) and thinking of selling the cup shocks and springs. was planning on keeping them but could do with the cash.
should be a nice set for a non-cup owner wanting to man-up their 133 :D or just give it a slight lower without forking out £100 on lowering springs. in theory the GTs should take the shocks, both me and Ste have got clio mk2 1.6 etc to mate, with a lot of swearing on my end with ATS mounts but i wouldnt use the springs on it.
seen renault sells the 1*2 rear shocks at £100 and im guessing front would be a tenner more maybe? and with lowering springs out there for £130+ (not sure how much renault charges), i was thinking in the lines of £100 for all of it plus PP.
seeing if theres interest, having the independent set up turning out to be more then coilies but still cheaper then ATS's one. boy did i look like a dick thinking it was £120 for a front spare and ringing DT telling them they've forgotten the rest...nice..

it will have rear camber plates, front ats adjustable mounts, spaxx lowering springs and spaxx adjustable shocks. managed a trail fit with ats on stock stocks and springs, slight pain. panel will have to be adjusted to allow anyone to get to the mounts :(
would of gone for fully ajustable coilies from ats but there just so expensive and didnt really want to keepp going to the garage to get the geoms right everytime i changed ride height :(. all in all i think the set up has come close to £700..ouch

Springs yes shocks no.
R the springs any different to the Gt or r they both the same with the shocks stiffinin up the ride?

The dampers (IIRC) are a different fitting/mounting on the RS compared to the GT. The springs are both lower, stiffer and lb rating (but will fit the GT).

I think this info is right I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong.

So if I put them springs On my Gt it would make it lower and stiffer

yes, but not loads, but it's a decent upgrade using OEM stuff.

if the mk2 58 bolts fit the 133 then in theory the shocks will work as both a GT and 133 would have the same shocks mounted with the same bolting pattern. unlike 1*2s which were different and there was a difference between the 172 and 182 bolting at the bottem.
willing to ship these off when its done to some with a try and fit now, pay later to see if it works as it'll be great as i can see 133ers soon changing to coilies etc and have spares give Gters a cheaper option to stiffen up the handling whilst not breaking their backs and banks.

I've got mk2 Clio coilies on my RS, the only problems I had when fitting them was that I had to widen the bolt holes on the bottom of the front strut due to the bolts on the rs are a bit bigger than Clio ones, also the mk2 Clio's front antiroll bar is mounted to the wishbones, the Twingo RS has drop links from the strut, so had to fabricate a bracket for the drop link to connect too

cheers for that. explains way the had some problems with the test fit of ATS camber mounts. glad im not fitting it myself lol
