And the point of this thread is.....?

See I work garage so tyres won't be a problem but would just rather be able to put old tyres on the new rims

Yeah that's possible, but what is the point of this thread?

Personaly, I'd swap the tyres either back to original 195/40/17 or a set of 205/40/17.

195/45/17 still leaves the rim prone to kerb damage, is still an rare(ish) size with limitted options. But raises the rideheight more than the 205, which won't do the handling much good. At least the slight compromise with 205's has some benefits which I can't see with your current ones.

Are you asking for recommendations for replacement alloys that the standard tyres would fit straight on? If so why do you want the change? Different look? lighter alloy? etc. etc

Unless a clear reason for this thread is made soon it will be going to the scrap heap.

So I'm confused to be fair and think this is pointless.

Please start a new thread with options your looking at, use google and the search function on here to see what options are already available.

Surely finding a rim you like and finding the tyre to fit is the best option.

This thread is pointless and now locked, any issues please PM

Want different rims why do I need reason? Lol
Of course, you don't need a reason to want new rims. If you want them, then far be it for any of us to disagree.

The question is, what help did you want.... We are all a bit confused. Theres not much point in us recomending something which is potentialy out of your price range or won't fit if your tyres are the 195/45/17 that you mentioned.

So, I agree with David and James on locking this one. Give us a brief and maybe something more to go on
