Wondering how much a set of 172 injectors would cost, contemplating remapping the GT but would want to get new injectors fitted as i hear the current ones are kind of s**t.

Rather than being **** per se, I think its more a case of them not being able to flow enough to safely cope with a remap of +30% power. Then its getting to the point where they would be running flat out and any slight failing would be potentialy catastrophic, whereas for normal use, theres still a good safety margin.

The balancing act part is getting enough flow, but also being able to regulate it correctly which would be more difficult if huge injectors were fitted and were only being used at 10% of their capacity

We currently are having computer issuse.

They RRp at £63.23 + vat each i can do about 15% off them maybe be able to push it to 20 but wont know till the system is back.

Can u put theses in to a 133 or is it just the gt?

Unsure about 133 imagine they'd fit but don't see why you'd want larger injectors if currents are coping well enough.

They are proven to fit in a GT and with a remap it means they wont be running at 100% like the old ones would be.

I think I may end up pushing the limits of mine, once the cams, headwork and manifold get done.

ITB's

Will your car be drive able day to day? Haha will be quick but surely it will idle quite high?

Hopefully it will be completely usable day to day.

Cams - Catcams are working on them at the minute, with the brief of a fast road cam, with the emphasis of better mid range rather than pub bragging rights top end power. So no masive valve overlap or excesive lift, but quicker opening with a bit more lift and duration.

Manifold - It looks like the K-tec manifold has slightly longer primary pipes which would bring the power range down a bit, whereas the primary diameter appears slightly larger, so that would bring it back up. Untill measurements are released, it's just a guess how it works out but their power graph doesn't look too bad.

Head work - I'm not changing the valve sizes or excesively altering the port shapes, or opening them out to the maximum, just working on getting the best out of the design as it stands (well, within reason).

So, I don't forsee any major issues with the drivability like you get when chasing maximum power. The limitting point could well be how well the ECU can be mapped

Hopefully it won't come to it, but, if a standalone ECU is required then ITB's would be the next logical step to get the most out of the unrestricted mapping options of a standalone ECU.

Karl, can you give me a price for the injectors?

Even though I remapped mine already, it can do no harm with placing ones that have better flow.

I posted in the other thread, 60 each or near enough, get a used set for 40 from cliosport and dont waste 240 on new ones
