After boring you all with questions about detailing, i ordered some stuff and went to see my mate absolute sparkle to borrow some stuff i had a good go at a detailing session.

My poor car has been neglected on the cleaning front over the last couple of weeks while i got my stuff together and Saturday was the day for it.

To start with, the interior was in desperate need thanks to a crap windscreen fitted who stood all over my car with oily boots on!! cleaned using Daisy (watered down) and Chemical Guys interior cleaner borrowed from my Mate.

Now the Outside, The First thing i did was remove the Twingo Badge, I think it looks a lot better.

it was blasted with the jet washer and washed with Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo using 2 buckets and a Meguiars Microfiber Wash Mitt.

Attention was then given to the exhaust and wheels, it was Meguiars Hot Rims and Autosol for the Exhaust.

The car was then dried with the Huge Fluffy Drying Towel that works amazingly well (Thanks for the recommendation) and then clayed using the Meguiars clay kit borrowed from my mate.

Autoglym High Resin Polish was up next along with the Chemical Guys Trim Restore (thanks to everyone who recommended this, its an AMAZING Product)

Finally, Waxed using Autoglym HD Wax

It then decided to rain so got a few pics of beading for all u detailing gods.

Honest opinions would be appreciated because its something i want to get better at.

Dave

Looks very clean. Always feels rewarding when you have given your car a clean after it's been left for ages.
Out of interest how hard is it to remove the twingo badge from the back ?

dead easy mate, took like 10 mins. the hardest bit was getting the left over glue off, managed that with mer polish

need to go somewhere a bit nice than my drive, lol. thanks for the comment though matey

Looks really good mate, nice job. Looks better with the twingo gone too, was going to take mine off this week but its been awful weather so far so not had a chance, did it come off easy?

yeah, came off well easy, was really impressed, just took a lot of elbow grease to get the left over glue off, cheers for the comment though mate

i used Mer polish that my grandad has laying round, worked well coz its slightly abrasive
