Thought like last year I'd do a thread of these to keep them all in one place for anyone interested.

First out of the marks, the Lotus Renault

Ferrari seem to have done an amazing job with sculpting their side-pods. They should be able to control that airflow very nicely. Not entirely sure on the nose tip personally. The modesty panel does a good job - but looks a bit odd with it going quite so far forwards with its step.

The Force India looks totally odd. The nose looks swollen, looked better without the vanity plate

The nose does look quite like a blend of the VJM04 and VJM05. I'm expecting a number of these launches to be missing at least one "special" feature which will feature at one of the tests/the first race

Pretty much a faux cover over the 'duck bill' or stepped nose. Makes it appear like it hasn't got a step

^^ yep, exactly. Designed to entirely disintegrate in the event of a crash, so there's no extra factor in safety (though I'm wondering what will happen if someone knocks their nose cone onto the back of another car and makes a little hole. Could be interesting consequences. ).

Some teams will chose to run without one if they haven't seem the potential for an aero benefit, otherwise they're wasting valuable r&d time.

The front nose certainly looks good. But I actually laughed that it has blackberry on the side

Caterham CT03

And it surprised me just how far in front of the front wing Caterham have extended the nose cone!
