5 gear

I'm finding it hard to take it out of 5th gear on the 133 anyone know what it can be or has the same problem

dodgy 5th gear/snycro or selctor fork :?

on the plus side 5th is the easyst gear to get to, the only gear you dont have to strip the box to get to

but if your having issues id be straight back down the dealers!!

does it do it all the time?

i think there might have been a prob with the 5th gear clip on a very small amount of boxes but didnt think they went into th 133's :?

il see if i can dig the paperwork out 2moz.

but id def be taking it back!!! :evil:

It's booked in on the 10th cos when it's idilin the car shakes abit

Hi, Sorry to gatecrash your site with my convertible Twingo...
For those who are unaware, we share the same powertrain!
My car also is a little 'sticky' or 'notchy' changing out of 5th gear only - all the other gears, and strangely, changing up into 5th - are like 'a knife thru butter' as they say.

I had a new gear linkage fitted by the dealer, which made little difference. (1000 miles covered). Over on the Wind Forum one writer reports he drove three of the 133vvt models and they were all like it, apparently his own car suffered until he had covered 7000miles when it improved noticeably, hence I'm waiting to see if mine does likewise.

Hope this helps, would be interested to hear if any Twingo RS owners have similar experiences? There are less than 700 Wind 133vvt's out there so not much feedback.

Please post up whatever your dealer suggests/does!

Yer i get this problem some times but only from speed. just try double de-clutching when you come from 5th as my box finds it hard to get into every gear if i dont do this when i'm changing down.

The dealer I took it back to told me this is normal for the 133

It's goin back in on the 15th maggi needs a new rear sub frame and seat and weather strip. Oh and the xzorst is blowin

Had problems with the 5th gear took it back 2 the dealer they found that i needed a new gear box wich was not good but the car was under warranty so got is fixed.
