I haven't actually put any more pictures of my car up here as of recently so seeing as I've done a couple more bits and pieces to the 133, might aswell share...

About a fortnight ago

Add Spax springs + wrapped plate recess...

The Spax are brilliant. Absolutely no body roll whatsoever and the ride isn't much worse than standard. Would've liked it slightly lower but I quite like the ride height, it doesn't scrape or rub against anything

Yeahhhh another spax spring fan :) they're great aren't they! So much better in the corners! :)

Also the car looks mint as per :D

I've been thinking of them!

PM me how much you paid for KAM racing to fit them, I'm tempted.

Do you rate them more than the cup suspension ? As I am tempered to lower mine but don't want to ruin the handling

It's harder than the cup suspension for sure but if you don't mind the harsher ride then I'd say on a good road it definitely makes it handle better and there's no body roll really unless you seriously push it to the edge but by that point you'll most likely be running out of talent anyway :)
I recommend it if you want to sharpen up the handling and lower it at the same time :)

Cheers everyone! Definitely still loving the look of it, seems to turn a lot of heads still! (Including the police's)...

Pretty much summed it up! The handling is absolutely spot on now. I didn't really notice a difference in ride as it was already very firm with the standard suspension but really, the difference is minimal. It's noticeably lower in person too, it's a nice subtle drop.

I don't seem to get any notice from the police on coilovers. I like to think that mine is OEM+ and I liked the fact a chat with a copper recently, he only noticed the car was lowered significantly when he couldn't get low enough to see the tyres under the front owing to his helmet and the ride height

Lesson learnt is don't take big, open roundabouts with lots of camber at silly speeds if the police sit on it

Oh no I was referring to police attention to the car in general! I own the only 133 for miles and I more than often get a few looks from the speedies as they pass... Couple of occasions been followed too, but nothing serious (unless it's just me  )

Cheers everyone! The Spax springs are 30mm on the front and 25mm on the back but the 5mm difference is not noticeable at all. My car has 20mm spacers on the rear.

Looking good, looking good. I do like that wrapped plate recess...makes for a more aggressive look :)

I've just ordered some too

I know for a fact I'll need spacers. Going to see what the outcome is once they are on then decide on what spacers I need.

This thread persuaded me to get them

Spacers are a must! Not had any rubbing whatsoever. I thought I would need to take them off when I fitted the springs but they've been fine. Gonna look into getting some maybe 10s or 15s for the front now, I like the wide stance at the back.

Only reason I put them on at all was because I had them on my old Clio and they were just gathering dust in the shed, so i stuck them on and liked it!

Which make have you got? I'll probably look into the H&R spacers. I have 15" alloys which aren't as wide and a different offset to the twingo rs alloys so I'm not sure what size to order yet.

I ordered the springs from larkspeed and they phoned me today to confirm I didn't mind the wait. The site says made to order approx 3 week wait. Not in a rush as it's booked in to get the rear suspension looked over at the dealers so I wouldn't be putting them on till after that anyway.

My spacers are the FK ones mate, I got them from Venom (https://www.venommotorsport.com/product_details.php?id=3258&manufacturer=FK&category=Wheel). They don't seem to do them anymore but I got mine as system B spacers where they come with their own bolts which bolt the spacer to the hub, then you use the original wheel bolts to bolt the wheel to the spacer. Seems that for anything under 30mm now you need longer bolts too.

I got my Spax from Larkspeed aswell, took about 3 weeks to come. LS seemed to be the quickest for delivery too as Kam Racing & Spring Loaded both told me they'd be a month's wait at least. It's an uncommon spring for an uncommon car so it's only to be expected I suppose.

I can vouch for this, parksy took me out today in his twingo and we ended up going fairly sideways around a roundabout and alot of corners!

As for the ride, I wouldn't call it harsh personally and feels totally fine in the passengers seat.

As to how it compares on a non cup in unsure as he has the cup pack so stiffer shocks and a larger rear bar.
