Appologies if this is a duplicate, i had a quick search for similar threads but couldnt find what i was looking for...

i want to know how well the fellow GTs are doing in terms of actual MPG figures?

my drive to work consists of:
2miles city driving (stop/start traffic lights)
5miles A-road (usually at 50mph)
12miles motorway (usually at 60-65mph)
3miles industrial estate (between 30-50mph)

this journey is averaging 36-38mpg (tops!)

is this normal? what am i doing wrong? ive tailored my driving to that of an old person to try and stretch it out, but surely for a 1.2 carrying 1 person on a - for the most part - steady driving route i should be getting closer to the 43-45mpg?

any opinions / other views are welcome!

i get on motorways when sitting at 60 i get about 60 per bar of petrol around town about 25 mpg

if i fill it up, the top bar sometimes gets 70miles on a motorway run, but then the rest get barely 50.

would you agree that town driving wrecks the mpg?

Alot of my driving is town driving lol

The most I got out of tank was from a trip from Belgium to the UK. 620 km (385 miles) before I had to refill.

On regular home to work and vice versa I get an average of 520 km (323 miles).. give or take.

I got around 410miles to a tank before, haven't really done a massive trip like that since though.

My work journey is 9miles to and from but I do it twice in 1 day... So 36miles per day all town driving and I see around 36.7mpg. Taking it on a long journey though at a steady pace I can average around 45-48.

Am I the only one who averages 29mpg because none of you sissys 'drive' your car properly?

I'd rather not take a little kid out as I have to drive past 4 different schools etc.

That's 9miles of temporary lights, traffic, 30mph roads and school mums

so a mixed bag of reseults then... if i fill it up, i usually get no more than 360 miles to a tank. guess my expectations are too high. ive always owned diesels and i guess im just used to having at least 40mpg (averaged 66mpg in my civic the other day over 100miles)
