Just been under the bonnet to make sure there wasn't already an aftermarket filter in before I ordered the bmc one, the filter whats in there is standard one and is dirty.
Thr date on it is 2008 september ish. Would you say a new filter went in at the service at the end of september?
 
if it really dirty then def not, as i had my green filter airfilter in a year now and its hardly dirty. so wouldnt be that dirty after 2months
 
Hard to say as the condition of it would vary depending on the mileage you've done but if it's only a couple of months old I'd be skeptical.

Admittedly it probably isn't doing your car harm apart from restricting some air flow but at least it's stopping it sucking up sh!te. Better with the BMC though mate. :)
