Aircon smells

When I turn off the aircon after its been on for a bit, I get a really nasty smell coming from the vents - smells vinegary? Anyone else get similar? I still have issues with water ingress in the passenger footwell too, I forgot to mention it when I took it for its MOT the other week.

Normally makes that smell when it needs regassing I think bud

Aircon seems to work, just not that cold, got nothing to compare it to tho (only the second car I've owned with it!)

Every car makes that smell after the aircon has been on iirc, kind of a musty smell. My old car did it, my dad's does it... Just normal

You can get some sort of air con cleaner if its that bad, or pop down to halfrauds and get an air freshener

Previous car didn't, although I had that from new
I've kinda fixed it by switching the heaters to high after the aircons been on and putting it on full blast, doesn't seem to smell as bad.

My clio had this problem and I got an air con cleaner from halfords, it cost about a tenner but was just a can that you pop the top on and leave for about 10mins... It hasn't cleared it completely but it's made it better
