Thinking of putting some alloys on my Twingo as well now
A lot of people have suggested it and I think it would look good. But it has to be Renault alloys as insurance premiums will increase if they're aftermarkets; I've been informed that OEM alloys won't affect my insurance premium. As nice as some of the aftermarkets look I can't have 'em yet. :/

So just wondering what Renault alloys for the Twingo there are and how much? Anyone got maybe a list w/ photos?

Think my current wheels are 15'"s so if I do buy alloys I'd want something of a similar profile, but obv an alloy and not an ordinary wheel.

Would prefer nice shiny new ones and not refurbs unless they are exceptional. Looking to spend around £200 in total, is that a fair price or am I talking outta my backside, for want of a better word?

Might not be able to do it yet anyway but in a few months time, just want to sum up prices and specs. :)

Cheers guys!

Sorry to correct you but if your car is the same as well as mine the wheels will be 14".

I will be following this thread closely as i have always wanted alloys to make my car look a bit better

Doubt you will be able to get new renault issue ones for £200!! Might be better off looking for a cheap set on the bay or somewhere and looking at getting them refurbed yourself!

Thanks Andrew :)

I see. How much are they new then, roughly? I got a bit of budget to spend on my car so was contemplating alloys.

I don't want really pricey hi-profile ones, but just a decent looking alloy, but just need pics and prices.

I imagine what your budget for four is what it costs for one :p

Im not sure, maybe you should speak to Karl about it, have a look on the renault site and then compare with the bay, and a refurb - even though its not what your wanting to do..

Hmm I know there are some that cost that per wheel but imagined there was cheaper alternatives. £200 per wheel would take me years. Will have a poke around and maybe get Karl's opinion :)

Looking at this, the Expression alloys cost £420 for 14"' and £520 for 15"'. I'm guessing it doesn't matter if I put 15s on? Fair price for both of those, will take me a few months to save up for them though. Maybe a birthday present for myself :p

Trying to get prices for the 15"' dynamique alloys as standard with the Dynamique (see here), Karl do you have any rough prices?

I'm guessing the 133 alloys are well out of my price range so won't even ask how much they are!!

I would imagine they are similar in price to the 15" expression ones?

Genuine Renault Alloys range from about £120 upwards. The bigger the Alloy the more the cost plus then remember on top of that you also have tyres that you will need to get if you are going up sizes.

You can fit 15s to a car that had 14s no problems but your speedo will be out.

Oh I see, so best sticking with 14s then? or can the speedo be re-configured? :p

They have been talking about the speedo recalibration here...

Yeah just been reading that thread, wonder how much that costs or if I'm best sticking with 14s for £420. Hmmm its a toughy. Might pop into my Renault dealer and see what they reckon would be overall the cheapest option and then sneak the part numbers to Karl and get them ordered lol. :)
