Anyone near Dover - urgent help (long shot)

right - long story cut short - my brother is about to get on a ferry tomorrow for a 4 week trip around france etc. but his engine management light has come on on his ford mondeo (AGAIN - pile of crap these fords )

does anyone know of any ford garage near or around dover, as the sodding internet just reveals some disused looking garages that are ment to be "dover ford"

any help is very much appreciated.

ooo - my mistake I found dover ford online, but its bloody tiny - doubt they could get his car in and out within an hour

Thankyou very much Araf! thats brilliant help. I have given him the names and contact details of all of the above,

I'l have a go at ringing round all of them tomorrow morning as well. Its that the engine managment light has come on, been "fixed" before twice, they said if it comes on again they wouldn't know what else to try - perfect timing for it to come on.

If it cant be fixed, I'l be driving down in his wifes focus (also has a tow bracket ) so he can get going while i stay with the broken mondeo.

There's a full Ford dealer network in France. Make sure his breakdown cover is comprehensive.

Thanks for your PM very much appreciated.

He has AA coverage roadside relay, but when looking through the documents it doesn't cover Europe - I suppose its lucky that this has happened in England, as I can upgrade his membership tomorrow morning - just thought..... I wonder if the AA covers the caravan he is pulling, I'd best check that when I phone tomorrow.

He is rather more disorganised for a large trip than I thought!
