Hi folks, as I mentioned in my introductory thread I'm looking at getting an RS Twingo to complement my RS250 in the next year, Renault obviously aim the Twingo at a much younger audience so I wondered who owns one in their 40s, I might add I'm 40.....!

I'm nearly 79 and been retired for 16 years, mainly house restoring, sail racing in UK and abroad, mountain climbing and sea kayaking (beginner) in Scotland Flew jets (bombers and recce aircraft) in RAF from 1952 to 1975 operating in UK,Middle East, Africa ,Germany and occ USA. Then with Government till 1995 and retirement to my Scottish ruin,- 43 years with a fair amount of excitement and very few dull moments.
Silverstone owner

As much as the Twingo is aimed at the 'youngsters' being insurance friendly, relatively cheap to buy and run, it's huge fun whether your 18 or 78!! haha

My mother drives a 133 dini in winter and a 225 f1 team in summer... She's 55 :)

Wish my mum was as much of a petrol head, she's got a Gordini 1.2T which admittedly was a good choice on her part haha.

Yep, 40 last year. :)
Moved to the RS133 Gordini from a '05 plate Civic Type R last Spring.

Had a '03 RS Clio172 before that.

My other car at moment is a RS Clio 182 Cup in Racing Blue.

does your mum live round croydon too? as i see a 1.2 gordini driving around every so often with an older lady at the wheel

Great to hear there are a few more shall we say mature RS133 owners on here, don't feel like I'm crashing the party, LOL!!!!!

I turned 50 last year - last 3 cars have been a C2 VTS, C2 Code and now a Twingo 133 w/Cup Chassis.

Who says fun cars are just for the kids?

Funny, on the unofficial Renault Wind forum there was a topic about ages as well.

There it's the other way around.. I'm one of the few young people that drives a Wind

Its probably a mid-life crisis thing. Kids gone, so re-live your youth by getting a two seater

Yes mate, lives in Purley but it's a Gordini with no stripes. She didn't want them on the car when she got it haha. It's a black one.
