I finally had a weekend free with decent enough weather to give the Mrs 133 some proper TLC.

The car hasn't done masses of driving as we use the 172 as a daily car but the car has been outside and unwashed since The beginning of the year, so that's probably 9 weeks or so without a wash.

So yesterday I got myself outside with a plan -

Interior vacuumed and all plastics/rubbers treated with Autoglym Rubber & Vinyl care
Pre-rinse the car with the Karcher
Soak the car with Valet Pro Snow Foam mixes 50/50 5 minutes dwell time, then rinse again
Second soak with Snow Foam and whilst dwelling, pressure wash under the arches and body using Karcher right angle lance. Rinse second layer of snowfoam.
Car washed (2 bucket method) with Meguiars wash mitt and Bilt Hamber Autowash
Wheels washed with a separate wash mitt and same mixture of shampoo
Final rinse with Karcher
Dried using two microfibre drying towels, glass dried with Meguiars Watermagnet
Glass cleaned with Autoglym glass cleaner
Exterior trim treated to some Autoglym Rubber & Vinyl care too
Finally bodywork and wheels protected by Collinite 845 wax

Phew, finally through it after about 4 hours. Here's how she's looking today, still nice and shiny and looking forward to some fresh beading.

The car has done a bit over 15k now so will be receiving a clay and polish in the spring ready for a couple of new layers of protection.

Looks spot on

(Alex please please sell me the 172, or at least bung my name down on the list)

Cheers guys, I've got the detailing bug back now! haha

Last year I didn't get much done due to work on the house and not having much time. This year I plan on giving the cars more TLC.

I'll bear that in mind should I come to sell the Clio haha. Must say I'm still well chuffed with it. Drivers perfectly, everything works although the aircon needs re-gassing but otherwise it's great.

Plan is to make it a track car with a few performance based mods. There's no rush with it I guess and only has 60k on the clock so for a ten year old car it's well under what it should be as an average.

Awesome CLEAN cabs you have there :)

I have a friend here in SA that is detail crazy, uses all sorts of products to clean his cars and friends cars when they want that new look again...

I really wish we could get the Snow Foam here, saw videos on it and it looks amazing!

I woudn't be too worried about snowfoam mate, it's good but it's not as amazing as you're led to believe.

I mean yeah it was handy with this wash as the car was very dirty but I had to mix it 50/50 which meant it was a really strong mix. Plus I've never experienced it 'snowing' as such with it, always seems to just come out like thick car shampoo. Not like these demonstrations where it looks like shaving foam haha.

It's ok but not essential I would say. :)

Cheers guys, nice to know she's as clean inside and outside and even underneath! haha

Shame she'll be up for sale soon. :(
