I finally had a weekend free with decent enough weather to give the Mrs 133 some proper TLC.
The car hasn't done masses of driving as we use the 172 as a daily car but the car has been outside and unwashed since The beginning of the year, so that's probably 9 weeks or so without a wash.
So yesterday I got myself outside with a plan -
Interior vacuumed and all plastics/rubbers treated with Autoglym Rubber & Vinyl care
Pre-rinse the car with the Karcher
Soak the car with Valet Pro Snow Foam mixes 50/50 5 minutes dwell time, then rinse again
Second soak with Snow Foam and whilst dwelling, pressure wash under the arches and body using Karcher right angle lance. Rinse second layer of snowfoam.
Car washed (2 bucket method) with Meguiars wash mitt and Bilt Hamber Autowash
Wheels washed with a separate wash mitt and same mixture of shampoo
Final rinse with Karcher
Dried using two microfibre drying towels, glass dried with Meguiars Watermagnet
Glass cleaned with Autoglym glass cleaner
Exterior trim treated to some Autoglym Rubber & Vinyl care too
Finally bodywork and wheels protected by Collinite 845 wax
Phew, finally through it after about 4 hours. Here's how she's looking today, still nice and shiny and looking forward to some fresh beading.
The car has done a bit over 15k now so will be receiving a clay and polish in the spring ready for a couple of new layers of protection.
