I've been driving around in the Derbyshire dales for the last few days at a bit of a country retreat holiday with the other half. Some of those roads have been great fun to bomb around on in the little 133 (within the lawful limits of course). It's awesome to see (and happily keep up with) several sports cars and nice bikes while having fun across some of the twisty roads. There's a fair few potholes around to keep an eye out for though it seems  only narrowly missed a few of the buggers which I'm sure some could have done some damage.

I'll try and get some nice photo's up later, (unfortunately there are no whilst driving shots :( ) but would recommend going that way for a few day retreat if anyone else is looking for it. Didn't cost much and was great fun in the twingo. (Even if I was without decent internet for large chunks of time)

Where abouts did you go? Sounds like my sort of trip.

My B&B (Which I'd recommend if anyone wants one that way) was in Bonsall. It's easily close enough to visit Matlock Bath, Matlock, Bakewell etc if you fancy it, and there's plenty of good local pubs & restaurants around. I headed off north-west and drove around for a while. Great fun.

(best bake wells come from bakewell! None of these imitation ones you see in shops now :) )

Looking at doing something like this in september rather than going abroad now... Sounds like a good little place!

I live there so glad u enjoyed it dr! Some of the roads round here are awesome and if u guys wanna come up, I will gladly take u down some. Where your b&b is, it's a nice place go be. I'm only about 20mins from Matlock bath myself. Can't wait to see the pics
