Every now and then my car makes a loud beeping noise when im driving. A few warning lights flash up on the dash aswell for a split second but i never get chance to see which lights they are. Has anyone elae had this or knows what it is?
Cheers

Brake fluid level? Which if it is could mean your pads are getting low

Only beeps in mine are either the fuel indicator warning beep or to tell me my seat belt isnt plugged in!

can you get someone to read the ECU to see if any error codes are showing? might reveal the problem!

Sounds like markhardy is bang on the money.

If it's a STOP! and a loud beeping, especially when cornering or braking hard, it will be brake fluid. Bottle is ~£6 from Renault if you don't already have any

yeah same here like the rest said brake fluid resevoir a bit low :p , it scared the **** out of me tho when i was flying trough the corner at a "reasonable speed" and it started beeping :D

Iv checked the brake fluid and its not near the minimum level. I have had the calipers off the car to paint. Could it be any thing to do with this? Abs sensor maybe?

your abs system wouldn't make a noise, it would only throw up an abs light alex. i know which noise you mean i hope. is it a beep and / or a weird blipping noise which only lasts for a fraction of a second? this indicates a blown fuse at least on a twingo gt. best to inspect which fuse may be blown!

Ahh thats the one!! It only does it every couple of weeks. Will have a butchers tomorrow in the fuse box. Any idea which fuses it could be? Cheers

honestly wouldn't have a clue alex, this happened to me when one of the fuse relays blew in my headlight system. when i turned my lights on and off quickly, that noise happened and jammed my lights on, the stalk wouldn't let me turn them to the off position which really annoyed me. took a good few minutes of relentlessly turning on and off for it to unjam itself so to speak. found out later it was a relay blown! to detect a blown fuse, take them out one by one and look at the middle fillament (like in a light bulb when it blows, the little fillament wire breaks?) that will be a good place to start. good luck man!

It may not be near the minimum, but is it at the maximum?
Mine triggered a few times and it was not looking low. A dribble extra fluid :)

Switching lights off/on quickly will enable the auto lights if you have auto lights/wipers

It may also be above the minimum when stationery but under cornering the level will change
