Does this mean you're getting a fine and/or points? I'd complain if I were you, I know its your word against hers (unless there were any witnesses) but if you've done nothing wrong you've got nothing to lose.

In this situation (if you know you've done nothing wrong), I would start telling the officer that I'd take it to court, rather than accepting the fixed penalty. If you haven't done anything wrong, they will quickly change their tune.

+1

I'm a little confused to what you have done wrong, suppose that's the point.

I once got pulled over by a copper that said I was speeding. I overtook a old bid on a country road doing twenty in a fifty. I remember spotting the copper behind me, waiting for a nice wide open stretch and dropping into 2nd in my remapped 1.9dci mapped, accelerated and changed into 3rd as I hit fifty and went stayed at that. Copper pulled me over said I was speeding. I told him I know I wasn't. I asked if he thought my overtake was wrong seeing as he did the same to follow me. He said no. Then said I was driving overly aggressively, will admit that meg took off when you accelerated but I definitely didn't speed and overtook safely..... Didn't do me as he couldnt but was a complete cock, was desperate to do me on something, full check around the car, breathalyser the lot. Just one of them, you get a cock in any profession. But in this case this cock carries weight.

Question it mate can't do any harm. Especially as it seems a bit rum

there are no channels to challenge a section 59 but I get no points/fine but if I get 'caught' again my car gets seized. im thinking of investing in an in car camera
You may not be able to contest it. But, if you are sure you were doing nothing wrong, you could write a formal complaint about the officers actions and judgement.

Don't cop cars (the patrol ones anyway) have on-board cameras, in which case that should have recorded what you were doing, and if you were to make a complaint show you were doing nothing wrong?

I still can't see how she was bent?

Bent copper would accept bribes etc...? Perhaps she felt it was worth a tug to see if anything was up, young lad in a new car always arouses suspicions. I dunno, and you don't really seem to have menitoned your attitude towards her. Gotta admit if I were a copper and I was spoken to like I've seen many do, I would give them a harsh talking to and if I couldn't give them a ticket a section 59 would probably scare them into line

To be honest fella if you aren't happy you can challenge nearly anything.

Call your local force and make a complaint, if it was a traffic officer then they can review the footage and ***** if a section 59 is on order (usually)
