What brake pads have you got on your twingo? oem or what?
i think mine are very good - yellowstuff/ebc. great bite from cold.......

seems like there are many EBC lovers and haters, lots of folk who say that they have almost killed them and some who swear by them. i can't say i've tried them though. you should check out my gt brake upgrade thread for some interesting reading to provide you with much more options for brakes (straight swaps disc for disc, pad for pad) that aren't available on the GT.

i've went for ds25000000000's all over again. i had them on my subaru many moons ago, very impressed with them back then and went for some mintex shoes for the rear. slotted and grooved discs ordered from the clio williams, will have a thread up here in the next month or so on the install and progress

I ordered yesterday some Brembo-Discs with ATE Ceramic-Pads for the rear .....im really excited for much less dust on the rims ......

thats what ime after, less time cleaning wheels more time enjoying fast driving/late brakeing hahaha.....

you'll find that most mid end to high end brake compounds are made from a majority of ceramic materials nowadays. usually around 80-85% is ceramic material and the other 15% are soft metals. cheaper brake pads will use a lot more soft metals such as copper etc, but suffer more from brake fade and wear factors.

The only vehicle I've owned where I've opted for anything other than OEM pads/discs is the kit-car my dad and I built...

We opted for EBC GreenStuff pads and Black Diamond drilled and grooved discs, which seem to have no problem putting a halt to things even without servo assistance...I guess the fact that the thing weighs about half of what the Sierra it is based on helps too...

When my RS is due for some new friction material I'm going to try GreenStuff pads on it to see what they're like...but that's just me...

i usually hear much more good stories about EBC red / yellow / green stuff pads than i do hear negative stories. i'd happily give them a go one day myself, but for the time being i'm going back to ferodo. i choose ferodo because i wanted a pad that could work on the road (although it doesn't say it's for road use, it works perfectly on the road!) and for track use as i plan on doing some light hearted track days in the GT this summer. to the OP dave, i would recommend that you bleed your brakes when you get new pads and install some braided hoses. :D what pads are you thinking of going for dave?
