I want to de-sticker my car and is there a best way to do it ie hair dryer or just pick and peel off? My car has flags up the side of the doors ect and feeling little bit old to have a car with these on!! Any comments will be appreciated thanks :)

Found this recon it will work -

Post subject: Re: debadge-ingPosted

1. Clean Car
2. Apply heat to sticker with Hairdryer
3. Peel with finger nail or edge of credit card GENTLY!
4. Use Traffic Film Remover or Super Resin Polish to remove sticky residue.

If you were talking about the other badges your car may have (GT/RS etc)
Same steps 1 and 2 -
3. Use fishing line or strong string behind the heated lettering to remove the foam adhesive.
4. Same as other 4.

Yeah that will work :) if you can't be bothered with a hair drier hot water, a credit card and patience will do the same thing I think I used wd40 to get the sticky crap off afterwards as well :)

It was alright on mine I didn't use a lot and washed it off straight away (with the water i just used) and it took all of the sticky stuff with it :)

Hair drier is the easiest way, just apply gentle heat to the decal and pick away using your nails (I actually used a Shell Drivers Club card).

WD40 does work for removing any sticky residue but your best bet would be to get a hold of a decent tar and glue remover, you can pick them up fairly cheaply from Halfords.
