My boot light isn't working. I've checked the bulb which is fine and wiring which is plugged in. My next thought was the boot latch. However when I open the boot, the other interior lights come on, which seems like normal behaviour, and leads me to believe that the switch is working. Anything else I could check? Does the boot light have its own fuse perhaps?

I'd imagine the boot light is probably on a separate fuse (along with something else maybe), if it's not the bulb (even if it looks ok it may not be), then it has to be a fuse if its only suddenly stopped working as I doubt it would be a wiring issue.

Yep, agreed, make sure the bulb actually lights up with a current rather than assuming it's OK (maybe you have already - apologies if so). In which case it MUST be a fuse. Grab a cheap AVO thingy (multimeter which tests volts/current/resistance) from Maplins - it'll come in handy, and measure the voltage across the bulb terminals with the boot open and closed. This will confirm many things! I'd look up a fusebox diagram on Google but I'm heading out - should confirm the boot light fuse number, which may well be on a fuse with something completely random!

The fuse box cover should have a diagram on it, or if you get stuck reply and I'll try to find which fuse it is you need to check/replace...
