Hey,

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before, when i close/open my door my boot sometimes decides to pop open, and one time i tried to press the button to open it and it wouldnt even open at all!

Anyone able to shed some light?

Haven't had it on mine but my old smart used to have this problem was a loose connection at the switch, so made it tempromental!! I just took it too bits and added fiddled!

Easy enough to do on a smart! One of the biggest issues on them was poor earths! Caused all sorts of oddities with the electrical systems lol.

Not had anything like this on mine so can't help I'm afraid

I am just hoping it will stop happening, I am blaming the weather for it :/ thanks anyway guys

In my experience issues like this don;t just vanish. Espcially if they're related to electrics which sounds like they could be.

My audi did something simillar, due to the switch pads corroding internaly. fortunately theres two pads and I canibalised bits from the two and made one working release.

I guess the twingo has a simillar design, with a flexible rubber finger pad, a bendable metal plate that acts as the switch, a fixed metal plate to complete the circuit.

Moisture in the switch unit had turned the insides into a white mush.

 exactly why I suspect it's not an issue that will just go away! Renaults do have a reputation. Our old Megane always had such issues after a service, always different electrical issues and the boot was one but i was too young to remember what it was tbh.

I would say take it in and get it fixed under warranty :) Can't say I've heard of it happen and it's not happened to me before.
