I got a free breakdown cover with green flag through my insurance - But having checked up on it, it is the basic cover (they tow you ten miles closer to a garage - lots of fees involved... basicly its not worth the letter its printed on) they told me it would cost stupid amounts to upgrade to some form of cover that I would want.

So I've been looking around for a better level of cover - I dont think the twingo will need it but I drive a lot of other cars, most of them being older than the twingo.

So I found the RAC - with two peoples Joint personal cover (as oppose to just the car) with free onward travel, national recovery and some other goodies... It works out at 94 pounds for the year - I also have a 20% off discount voucher.

Is this a good deal? I have never bought this before.

The morethan and aviva separate covers are decent value

Good idea to have the personal cover, you can of course call on them whatever car youre in

Ooo I'l have a look at morethan and aviva - compare the market has thrown up some cheap ones, all very confusing haha.

I like to have the personal cover, but im not sure about "home start" - if its at home I'd rather get my local mechanic to come round.

Let me know what you go for Tommy, I could do with getting a new policy for me and the mrs.
