I can't see how and don't want to breaks it

I've popped the white cover off but can't unclip the plug

i can't even remember, but it's just a normal style airbag connector. when i took my seats out they didn't pose any challenge but i suppose my seats were unbolted and access was a lot easier than trying to unclip them whilst bolted and stationary. are you putting new seats in?

Just trying out the new seats for fittment etc. I've unbolted the passenger one. It's tilted back and I have good access to the airbag clip but I can't work out how it comes apart haha

arghhh test fitted the omp runner I bought and the daft sods have sent me two right runners. Spent an hour trying to work out what was wrong and it's just clicked.

I bought them in august so highly doubt they'll swap them!

I'll have to buy two left omp runners now somehow haha

Trying to figure out how to mount the pretensioners. I think I'll driil and thread m10 a hole with another hole next to it which is the same set up as Renault, guess the second hole is to just stop the pretensioner moving.

I could do it on the side mount and use a spreader plate/washer to strengthen it??

As well as the m10 hole being threaded ill use an aero lock nut.

I'm just thinking if that will be strong enough. I've got 8.8 tensile nuts and bolts to do it

that sounds fine to me, i mean i'd certainly say from doing my own work without knowing the strict physics behind bolt / nut strengths, but tensile bolts are super strong for their size. when we installed my subaru seats in my old subaru, we used 4 x m12 bolts and we judged that as overkill in the event of an accident. i'd say that m10 would be just right, go down to m8 and you'd be in dodgy territory. neil will no doubt be the best man to clarify this or confirm this though mark

What I mean is, the bolt size is m10 for the pretensioner, I'm just worried about the side mount being strong enough

I'd try something a bit stronger, say a 10.9 or even a 12.9. or just use the existing bolt which comes with the tensioner then you know you are right.

I must admit some of the bolting used by Renault is next to cheese in strength, I've changed all my shock bolts on the front to 12.9 because I've stretched three so far just getting up to the 105nm required.

I'm not sure if this will be any use to you by I've got my old seat frames / runners out of the car which could be cut up maybe to fit your new seat, certainly the passenger side is completely stripped - no airbag fitted

You just need to watch the wiring, obvouisly you need the resistor fix for the airbag, the side tensioner will be OK if you remove your existing loom, but there is some additional wiring I came across for the passenger seat which looks to be some kind of weight sensor, could be it's just on the facelift model as the RS seats I've fitted came out of a older car, I had to re-fit the pad in the new seats - no real issue just wasn't expecting it.

Ignore the twisted seatbelt...
I'm going to mount the pretensioner at the same angle. I've measured the pretensioner mounting points on the standard seat and it's two 10mm holes, one needs to be threaded. 25mm centre to centre. There's enough room on the side mount for these holes. It'll have to to until there is a bolt in half cage available

Two seats will fit with about a fingers width between them. I just need to order another seat now I know they will fit. Arm rest has been removed and handbrake cover is now on

Can't you just have harnesses ?? Ngl would probably be safer, either get the ktec harness bar, or mAke one for like **** all cus it's not hard. Or have harnesses coming from eyelets in the floor ??

Germany I got mine from. I've removed it I keep forgetting to stick a for sale thread up for it
