Hi guys, new here looking at getting a 133.

Evan Halshaw have one in that seems incredibly well priced.

https://www.evanshalshaw.com/search/vehicledetails/used-car-renault-twingo--manual-petrol-silver-hatchback-nl58txw/

Specs are;
£3682
33k miles
2008
Silver
Cup Chassis
Upgraded Sound system
7 service stamps
Tyres all have 7mm+
3 Owners

It hasn't been serviced since 2015 at 24k miles, so i have a feeling the previous owner didn't look after it, not that he's used it much.

Having done some research on Evan Halshaw the consensus seem to be 'Keep away'.

Any advice here?

Thanks in advance.

Gonna have to factor in price of cambelt etc. It'll be overdue now based on time even though it's not hit 70,000 miles unless there's proof to prove it's been done your gonna have to factor in the costs for all this work. Other than that seems like a good buy imo based on what you've described.

You need to factor in a good clean as Well mate I can't believe they haven't cleaned it before selling it

Apart from a clran and service looks like a nice well speced 133. Has to be worth a look.
Evans Halshaw is a big dealership network selling lots of cars bound to get bad reviews.

Thanks for the comments guys,

I went to look at it on Saturday to test drive it and all seemed well. I just can't shake the though of six months down the line it breaks down and i'm left with a £1500 repair bill and they want nothing to do with it.

A lot of the reviews say that the warranties have so many get out clauses they're not worth the paper they're written on.

Also he said they get them up for sale as soon as they get them in, hence it not being clean. They're doing that this week supposedly.

How much would the cambelt cost to do?

Mine cost £750 for the lot cambelt, water pump, aux belt+ tensioner and dephaser. Depending where you are in the country it varies, I took mine to Renault harratts in pontefract west yorks, most independents want around 600 for the above work but you get the pieace of mind knowing you get 1year guarantee plus genuine parts. It's a big bill but you'll only likely do it the once and if the belt snaps it'll cost twice as much if not more.

Yes 70k or 5 years, but I've heard the earlier cars had 6or7 years time dependent all 70k though mine didn't come with the car manual but I'd go bye the five year myself. Plus if you drive the car how it should be driven probably sooner rather than later imo.
