Couple from Bedford. No videos unfortunately as slave cylinder gave up on lap 9.

Have a GOPRO HD HERO2 now though so good times.

Absolutely!

Its all well and good driving fast on the road, but its never truly balls out fast as its not as wide for a starter so cornering speeds etc are lower. Also with a circuit like Bedford you would have to be very very unlucky to hurt the car as there's nothing to hit!

It has a good mix of corners and straights so its possible to keep with the Clio's but not so much the Megane's as they are just too fast in general. On the longest straight the Megane's were 13 mph quicker than me. However you can claw back some time in braking as they would brake at 150m boards whereas i could stop at the 100m mark.

Twas a shame the car broke to be honest as its a very easy circuit to learn. I watched the clip 'clio 200 vs clio 200 bedford sw' before i went to learn the circuit. I even copied his wheel techniques and found i was generally using the car and it behaving as his did in the video baring in mind i have a Twingo and not a Clio!

(Bedford SW)

In all a trackday is well worth the money £150 all in can get you a good day in the UK.
Mine was a renaultsport day so the etiquette and standard of driving was quite high.

nice read that, thank you. i recon this year will be the year to go! so what happened with your car?

Basically the slave cylinder broke pissing hydraulic fluid everywhere. No fluid meant no changing gears with the clutch so car was basically useless. Got it fixed just in warranty though. I didnt mention thevtrackday as i was more peed off that it broke in the first place i mean its not an old car!

I plan to do at least one this year and ideally a trip to the Nurburgring as this car hasnt been yet.

No modifications though until car is paid for. Saying that i have a few custom shadow graphics to go on which i am a fan of. I have a suspicion they are too big though :(

that would of been a pain while out on the track :( im keeping an eye on the renaultsport site for dates and venues. i like the shadow decals, on the red, the shades of grey match, wheels, spoiler and mirrors! :) just make it kinda fiddly to wash and polish the car tho.

This is how the rear is looking at present.

Im thinking of ripping off the graphics and the nurburg sticker and just going with a plain black renaultsport sticker or i have a black renaultsport nurburgring sticker which i could use ibstead?

Also thinking of carbon wrapping the renault badge (although will have to wait as i can't do this)

If it was me, id leave the shadow graphics, take off the boot ones and just have a renault sport sticker in the bottom right where the nurburgring sticker is

Id leave the renault badge otherwise it would be colour overkill

Hmm. Im now thinking get the renaultsport sticker off matt and get rid of the shadow decal BUT leave the 3 dots on the boot on.
