Car alarm

Jet washed the car this morning and the alarm went off a couple of times, anybody had this problem before?

I know it's not that big a deal, just wondering

Happens to me too, especially on the boot and doors. Jet washing or bad hail sets it off. I just keep key in pocket while washing and keep click open every so often

If u look on the alarm sheet In the it should say on there what to do when cleaning it

There is another option...leaving the car unlocked while washing it. That's what I do at least.

What I do too. How else do you get the shuts and gaps and wipe the engine bay down?

Ha I leave it locked as I've been known to knock the handle with the brush and open the door slightly and soak the interior.

So it's locked until I do the door sills and boot at the end

I leave mine running for abit cos I have to take it off my drive to wash ******** next door wouldnt let me cut the bush down so I have to drive off to even let people in

Ah ok thought it could be a regular 133 thing, i had my keys in my pocket so it was no real problem

Very true, open the car door, with the key in the ignition, turn to 1, then 0, then 1 then 0. Get out of the car, shut the door, press the lock button on the remote. The car will beep three times to confirm deactivation of the alarm (which lasts for 30 mins if i'm not mistaken?)

when u unlock it, open and then shut the door again and no more auot locking probs, then wash away happily. but like james has said before, just becareful around door handle becasue last thing u want is opening the doors accidently whislt washing
