How come it was easy?

Plus its easy to discuise.. People are looking for green wheels.. Just swap them take the tow strap off, nobody is any wiser until you can get the bits sold

Because its keyless start so they plugged something into ECU to override it and start car.

Not exactly a good car to steal with bright f*****g green wheels lol

Was thinking much the same mate, I mean lime green Ford rims aren't exactly common.

Shame to see a nice car stolen but as said, probably taken apart from parts or stuck straight in a container and shipped off somewhere sunny. :(

Whilst its a shame and horrible for the owner, them wheels are horrid!

I'm going to be a little of a party pooper!

Ok admittedly it's a shame someone's car has been stolen, so don't go shooting me down!

But these "car stolen" threads really... It's like one of those emails you get sent which you send to some else who will send to someone else... It's almost pointless, an then when the cars actually found then it happens all over again, or not at all! An leaves people wondering what why when and how!

End of rant, sorry having a grump!

It's okay jra3d. But tell me one thing, if your car got stolen would you not want people to keep an eye out? As I've said that its probably stripped etc within an hour or two, but just trying to raise awareness.

There has been a few instances where cars have been seen, found and returned to owners due to these kind of things. Although the likeliness is minimal I'd rather try and help than shrug it off, as I'd rather someone help me then sit there and say bad luck.

Any car enthusiast is gonna be devastated to lose their car, it's their pride and joy. And that's where in some sense the car community can help.

Vote jjay for PM! ;-)

No I wouldn't to be fair. If its been stolen it's been stolen and that's why I pay stupid amount for insurance.

Working in an industry where I deal with issues such as the one named, the less vigilantes that are out on the streets the better

I'm not sure i would call it an industry though.

I'm sort of pro and sort of anti these kinda threads. But if you care to remember last year the scooby stolen at the vauxhall show got a lot of attention through Facebook etc and was found mid chop

Industry we all have customers and I can't specifically mention it so....!

An that was found due to it being a high profile vehicle not an owners car really tho?
