Last night I reserved an ex display CD player from halfords. The model is a Pioneer DEH-1300MP. I know its not an up to date model but I never use Bluetooth etc so suits my needs.

Anyway, I went in store today and looked at the ex display models in the cabinet and the model I'd reserved was in rubbish condition scratches everywhere. So I left went McDonald's then decided to go back and ask to see it.
Glad I did as she came back with a brand new one and said this is the last one so just have this  reserved it online for £26ish (29.99 - 10% off CD players). In store the samw ex display was advertised as £49.99!

Anyway I paid and ran. I went back in and purchased the removal keys and set to work in the carpark. Had to go back in and by an ariel adapter. My good luck didn't run out there as the supplied adapter fitted! So no additional adapters needed to be bought to get the CD player to work.

Now I need to get then steering stalk controls working. I know there's a few threads knocking around but non made it clear what I needed to buy. To clarify again, CD player is working, I just need to know what adapter to buy to get the stalk buttons to work. Also, is there anyway of getting the display next to the speedo to show the radio station etc?

Think I'm going to give pioneer a phone tomorrow, they do a cable which enables the stalk controls and OEM display to work. However that was for a Clio 2004 so hopefully they have an upto date adapter

I never got them to work with mine, as there is a difference in Alpine headunits from 2007 onwards. I can only adjust volume still (annoying).

I will look for the parts later though, as I'm sure I've got something bookmarked that you can select the relevant adaptor.

Yet they work perfect in mine :p

Thanks! There's one adapter - PC99-X12 I've seen mentioned a few times when searching on Google. That's just for the steering stalk controls.I'd like the display to work if possible which I've gathered you have to get to the back of the OEM display, unplug a clip and plug in a clip from the adapter. I can't find the correct part though if i decide to go with that option
