For a start, not sure RenaultSport will be too happy with Chevrolet branding this with "RS" badges, though I'm presuming if this is targeting the Suzuki swift sport, it's also gunning for the 133.

It's a bit more of a MPV styling - but I know of some that would like this...

Usual GM pap

Didn't topgear do a test of a load of budget cars? The twingo 1.2 was the only one the stig liked and if I remember correctly the stig said the Chevvy Aveo was dangerous

Interior is more successful than the 133s. And Chevy seems to have upped its game from what I've read so perhaps it could actually work. Without driving it I won't comment further. Could be one of them hidden gems, I'm thinking of that proton gti thing that was tuned by lotus when i write that...

As for rs badging, ford was using rs far longer than renault. I don't think anyone owns it

Looks like the love child from a Mitsubishi colt (front) and a Citroen C2 (back)

Very fashion concious rear lights, hinting at the Lexus style. Shame its a few years too late :)

Rally Sport
Renault Sport
Rubish skip

Being as its not a Ford or a Renault, I wonder how they thought of badging it RS?

Perhaps they're going for "really sporty" or "rarely sporty" depending on how it drives.

I want to see one in person, but it looks like they've done a pretty good job on the interior.

Don't understand why everyone hates it?!?!? Being a Chevrolet I reckon they've done a really good job as long as they keep the tacky plastics away it could sell really well!

not everyone does.

I have first hand experience with recent chavvys, parents bought a lacetti and I have had a spark as a loaner. Both absolute low rent and completely characterless. Could be seen as cheap transport at best. Shocking build quality. If you thought the twingo dash was bad try a spark... it feels like the plastic tray that mr Kipling cakes are held in. The vagueness in the steering was something to behold on the lacetti.

I'm sure the chassis is fine on the aveo. Driven both a corsa and a Alfa mito that are based on roughly the same chassis and is all good. It's just the rest that's bolted too it.

On past experience I would rather eat my ass though a straw than buy a chavvy.

Looks like GM have nicked a few bits from the vauxhall parts bin, steering wheel out of the new astra, door cards look almost corsa like.

Vauxhall is owned by GM. Im sure it will share a fair few bit from the corsa. Thinking about it, I bet the 1.4 turbo will be the one out of the current astra
