Really p****d off. Finishing cleaning the car and I noticed a really shallow chip in the lower centre of the front windscreen! Now I've got to get onto the insurance company and find out who I can use to fix it! Anyone had any issues with there's?

National windscreens were terrible (through insurance) but as far as i'm aware they're no longer around. it's easy peasy though, you call them through the insurance people, arange a time and remember to take you policy document with you and pay them the excess you've agreed with the insuracne and they fix it there and then

yup i got a chip/crack

called up admiral and they use national windscreens, he came out the next day and fixed it for me :) good as new!

Just ring gavin from autoglass just ring them up no need to ring the tools at the insurance company :) they come out same day.

My insurance company specifically says I have to phone them rather than arranging it myself.. Annoying I know.

Good luck. Took them 5 hours and 2 trips to the depot to do mine!

Guy turned up at 4pm and said that it isn't even worth attempting to try and repair it.. Apparently it's too shallow!?! What are your thoughts? I'm gonna get auto glass to give me a quote ;-)

just what i got. Turned up, spent half an hour fannying about, left marks inside and out of the screen, left foot marks on the sill of the car and when I was looking at it, I asked should it look exactly the same as when he started. Then he gave me some bull about it being way too shallow etc. Autoglass repaired it (after I demanded my insurance cover the cost of another company doing it) without any fuss or hassle and tidied up after themselves, didn't leave footprints to clean up either! National windscreens are a joke!!

glad im not the only one who hates them! autoglass have done all my others and the last one national windscreens did coz i moved to admiral insurance, they are never going near my car again!

Yup through admiral here too (who are the same group as hastings are they not?). Took some effort but someone finally agreed that it could be dealt with by autoglass who were much more professional. It took me a month to get national windscreens to come in the first place, every time I called the wrong person wasn't in or something. I don't understand how "NATIONAL" windscreens rely on one person?
