So tbh I've read and can't remember and tbh whilst I don't have a computer still I can't be looking through.

The difference in suspension is what exactly? And am I understanding it is possible and not too much work to enable the coilover kits for a clio2 to fit a 133.

I would want to track my car eventually but tbh it wouldn't be my main concern so Somethkng to loose the tractor effect and firm the car up would be the goal whilst reducing costs and maintaining a warranty (hence wanting new suspension) is my goal. And suspension for the 133 isn't cheap (I wouldn't call it expensive exactly)

So who's done It and how do we commoners do it?

I'm good at following instructions  but not with original attempts which could result in Somethkng falling off

I dunno.

I think I just spotted it needs filing as the bolts are larger then a bracket for the arb.

But I also thought there was a difference between 172 and 182 bolt spacing which I dunno what would work and wouldn't. Or would it be 1.2/1.6 clio 2 kits? Either way I know one of the clio kits would work and could work out more cost effective but I dunno which it is! I tried searching but not easy on my phone lol

Why would you want coilovers from a Clio II when you can get coilovers made for the Twingo RS?

Cheaper?

Measure from top of top bolt to top of lower bolt ... This will let us know:p are the top mounts same under the scuttle as the clios?

I did. But now can't remember

It was the same, but might have been the same as 182 cup/trophy iirc (I probably don't actually remember that though)

Which doesn't make the choice any broader really

Measured today bud and I think the 182 with 60mm will fit :p

That's what I got which iirc is 182 cup/trophy?

I did write it down what matched, but not at home as always.

And it doesn't really make the options any better.

Yea that's the one bud and by looks they will fit

does the clio have the arb droplink attached onto the damper body or, is it attached onto the wishbone?

It's not on the damper as far as I know but that was covered in another thread that a bracket would need to be made up

Yea so the coilies with the 60mm spacing can be used but a bracket has to be made up ..

I haven't put any more thought into this.

But some people on here have mentioned 58mm spacing (1.2/1.4/1.6 mk2 clio) and some 60mm (182 cup/trophy) will fit without modification.

Just Something I stumbled across when looking into top mounts.

In case anyone looks into it, is there a definitive answer?

You need to adapt on the rs ones unsure about the gt's coz the drop links on twingos are attached to the strut

58mm bolt spacing clio coilovers for the GT fine, members on TOC have fitted these as it costs less for the clio coilovers rather than twingo ones.

My question isn't aimed at gts tbh, merely rs models.

So 58mm on a non rs and 60mm on an rs? With the possibility of increasing the hole size for the bolts to accommodate larger bolts and a needed bracket for arbs on rs models

Sorry to jump in maggi, But waitey, you can fit 182 coilovers to a non rs  what would be the difference to the twingo ones?
