hey there :)
im stuck between coilovers or springs and then also what makes !?
any help would be good as im a newbie :)
Holly x

Welcome to the site and it may be worth searching the forum for Coilovers and Springs, as a few members have different options and set ups.

Twingogekko is running springs

Whereas

Ollie133cup is running Coilovers

How much of a drop do you and and how much are you prepared to spend :)

welcome

depends what you are after and what you want to do with them.

if your just wanting looks then go for springs, much cheaper.

If you are wanting a full track / fast road setup then go for coilovers but be prepared to pay, decent ones cos a lot

Finally Holly

James she owns a GT

Ive given you my veiws on Facebook

Are you gonna keep those views to yourself Karl or an I gonna have to hunt her down?

Personally if I would go for Coilovers as the drop will be greater on a GT and hopefully improved handling, if it was an RS I would go springs as RenaultSport tend to know what they are doing

thanks everyone :) im a newbie haha
ok so if i go for coilovers what makes are good and im not looking to spend loads but i do want quality x

I had kw variant 1's on my 197 and they were awesome. Eliminated near enough all body roll, improved the stance and didn't compromise on ride comfort too much.

If you are going for just looks then coil overs are over kill imo.

If you want coilovers then get AP's, they're £515 which is probably the cheapest option for the GT in comparison to KW, Weitec etc. and they're made by the same company. I'm using them on my GT and I can't fault them.

Welcome! The GT's are slowly taking over :D

Id reccommend springs for now, if its for the look, As others above have said Kam Racing is your best bet, they have a choise ranging in how low you want to go.

Spax or Eibach would probably be your best bet

I woulnt say they're overpriced at all. I can't find another car brand new that costs the same that feels as fun to drive. The suzuki comes close but just misses that little Something. The gt is cheaper but as a used bargain, rs' still come up as something of a missed gem by most.

Keep it on the topic of suspension please

I don't want a RS vs GT Thread starting as there's plenty already

Thing is, if you buy springs you're gonna like it being lowered.. so then you're gonna want to go lower so you're gonna buy coils anyway.

With coilovers you can decide how high you want it.. and you can put it higher again for winter mode.
