Still waiting for my twingo

Was due to collect it yesterday and the paperwork hadn't arrived, though I gave them a week longer than they said they could get it ready for, then apparently they drove over a nail while taking it to the petrol station so pushed delivery forward a day (today) when it was due to be changed as they didn't have the tyre in stock was ment to be delivered by 2 today and I'm still waiting...

What do you think I should do I've called them to check and haven't got back to me yet?

At least they're sorting the tyre before it's given to you. Would be much worse if had let you find out when you came to pick it up. Might be worth checking the tyre is the same (&similar condition) across the axle when you pick it up.

Maybe give them another few minutes before calling again to see the status

Had to go down and kick off, apparently it failed MOT on the tyre and the sales person was just making excuses, not what you expect when buying from a main dealer

Why did they MOT it with a dodgy tyre in the first place.

Is it a brand new twingo? Mind you either way I'd complain to the dealer then RUK and push to get something free out of it as its not your fault its late and you paid them money already I take it.

The one they didn't replace is an 04 tyre older than the car, it's cracking also trying to get them to resolve that

so this is a big renault garage if im not mistaken from your pics, yet they do not have a 185/55/15 which is fairly common to renaults and other small sporty cars? got to say i wouldn't take that sort of shady excuse and let them know that you took the day of work to pick it up on the agreed time and date and push for an ex gratia deal of a service for free next time its due seeing as though you have ''lost a days pay'' :D

I'd never use a dealer for anything on my car other than warranty work, and I'm even reluctant to do that. Every time I've been in the past I just get the impression that they're not bothered and just wanted my car out of their sight. Not just the Renault though, my dad had similar problems on his old Ibiza with the local Seat dealer

Main dealers only interested in your money, when buying a car, otherwise don't give a toss about joe public....

04. As in the tyres date code embossed onto the sidewall from 2004. That would make the tyre twice as old as the car :?

Yeah it came with aftermarket wheels though so the dude whos fitted them has probably brought part worn, will get it sorted asap.

your 17'' wheels are not a rare size. infact you'll find 205/45/17 is very common. 205/40/17 is also held in pretty much every tyre shop too and are taking you for a ride and they know you're not going to do or say anything. basically you're not paying for this wheel or tyre so why would they pass of paid customer work to fit your wheel and prepare your car?? its upto you to go in and tell them whats going to happen, or you can stay silent and moap about it to us lol.

195/40/17 isnt a common stock size or a decent choice. Plenty of places need convincing that it even exists which is why many of us have gone to 205/40/17.

205/45/17 is really too big.

They are 205/40ZR/17 I could swear they're rubbing, anyway I'm going to stop moaning and carry on enjoying the car once I got used to the breaking and pedals I've been loving it!

It will rub on full lock, I get it but it's soo much cheaper so I just avoid full lock haha
