Hi,

I'm selling a custom made 4-1 manifold for the twingo RS K4M engine. It has been built using a 172 manifold that has been modified to fit to a custom made K4M flange. the package contains a fitting downpipe made from an original twingo RS downpipe and including the front silencer. This system is plug&play. You can put either your standard exhaust system or any twingo downpipeback system behind it.

as the manifold replaces the stock mani-cat, it's a complete decat. it improves the torque throughout the whole rev-band. properly remapped this will achieve astonishing results :)

it has been driven for ~20000km on a friends gordini in combination with stock exhaust (grumpy, deep noise and occasional popping) and later with full ktr downpipeback (pops, bangs, flames... too loud for my taste, but sounded EPIC! kind of the akrapovic evo system on a clio200, but even louder)

It comes complete with screws to connect the two pieces, a custom made gasket as well as a gasket template to cut your own or get one done at your local gasket specialist :)

will add pics later today. have to get the camera first.

Price: €350 + shipping from vienna,austria

This is an absolute steal and if I were keeping the Twingo I would have had this in a heartbeat.

Good luck with the sale...

Where did you mount the post cat Lambda sensor? I can only see one mounting boss on the collector area.

Is it still a 50mm diameter front pipe?

Tied it up with a cabletie to read fresh air. Otherwise it would give ecu fault codes...

Downpipe is stock 133, just cut off the flange and mounted a 3screw one to match the manifold. Diameter of the flange is larger, so the step has been smoothed out as seen in last picture.

seems as if I have to figure out a way to build a fancy dinner table around the manifold... :)

How different is it to remove the old manifold (WHOLE) and fit the new one?
Or is it a matter of cutting the primaries off from the Cat?

i reckon you mean how difficult it is to swap the manifolds... well, it's a tight fit, but can be done without taking out the engine (and of course without CUTTING anything in half). if you take off the lower engine mount, loosen the upper and tilt the engine forwards. we also took off a driveshaft to have more space.

Exactly what I meant :p
Cheers fredi.

Did the car it was fitted to have any issues with flat spotting etc without being mapped to suit the new manifold?

nope - neither with stock exhaust, nor with ktr downpipeback there was any flatspotting. it also ran normal on idle. I guess if we'd removed the front silencer from the downpipe, things would have been different and there would have been a lack of backpressure and therefore need for remap.

however once we carried out all the work (porting, matching, manifold & ktr exhaust, espace V6 box and bigger bore throttle body) he went to a tuner to have it remapped and tested. 148 at flywheel and no 3000rpm flatspot. sadly he did not do a dyno session before modding, so I can not put the gains in definite numbers. I can however garantee you that on a straight line this thing ate my 133 for breakfast :)

Why isn't it fitted to the car anymore?

he wanted even more power and insisted on a NOS system. I refused to help and kept telling him that this would probably kill the standard internals... he disregarded my advice, blew the engine before the first bottle was empty, got the engine fixed and has now reverted all mods for selling :) now he went for a turbocharged golf r32...

funny how everyone is crying for a decat manifold but noone wants to buy one when it's available :)

Same old same old ...

Everyone wants to turn their car into a rally version of it, but I´m almost the only one in Europe doing it ...

right - and you already have a fine manifold :)

If I had a 133 Wind/Twingo, I'd buy it. Thats a damn good price!

as I already stumbled over the manifold two times, I'll make it easier for you: Price now includes shipping... so that's 275 gbp all in. that's the last offer. if noone needs it, I'll keep it for in 20years when I'll get a nice vintage twingo...
