Just bin told today that I'll have to wait 3 months before mine will turn up. What on this earth are Renault playing at ? When I put the order in was told 6-8 weeks which I can live with but another 3 months on top that's taking the biscuit. Fuming ain't the word, got to wait till tomoz to here what they have to say. Either want something else out of the deal or my deposit back.

To be honest it takes time to make and stick the car together.

if it was more than 3 months i would be annoyed but least a 3 months it allows them to fully test it before you get it because you dont want a rushed car as that only leads to problems. which you wont want with a brand new car.

They're always going to "over-promise" to get their hands on your money.

Tell them you want a grand off or you'll walk, but settle for £500. ;)

I was lucky with mine - it was sitting in the showroom and I said "I want that one" (and they didn't realise it had cup chassis on it)

3 months from now will bring the total up to over 14 weeks, if that was explained from the word go then fair enough. But I was told 6-8 weeks. Not the first part of the truth that they have bent either.
Do they hand build the Renault sport cars ? My BMW only took 5 weeks to turn up from germany so can figure out why they need so much time.

Seems reasonable to me. I was told 3 months then found one in stock in the country

If they had told me 3 months from the start I could live with it. And the fact I went to another dealer gave them the figures to work on and they made me look stupid. Just the lies I'm sick of.

You'll probably find it will be quicker than that although 3 months does seem a long time.

That said my Gordini took abour that long. :(

buy 2nd hand :D get it straight away then
And pay more no thanks, priced up second hand works out a lot more expensive somehow

Well tomorrow is d day as they say
1. There is a White cup at another dealers that they will get an answer on in the morning
2. I wait 3 months and make sure I get a better deal
3. Get my deposit back and go else where

Oh this sounds very familiar

I was told (3 weeks ago) that there was only one left in the country adn they would get an answer on it which kept getting put back. It went from not knowing what was going on to suddenly getting a new car a week later.

Mine was also a cup in black and white id pack with black alloys

Yep sounds very fishy to me exactly the same, bin told there is one available in White plus I'd pack and black wheels. Wil find out tomorrow morning if the other dealer has someone on it.

haha look for a thread by me asking these exact same questions 3 weeks ago. I picked my baby up 2 weeks ago today

it'll be worth the wait whatever :)
