Right one for you all. I love my Dodo Juice Red mist smells stunning and gives a great finish but i think i have found something i like even more now.

After being asked by Dave on sunday to go round all the RUK cars with detailer i have fallen in love with Meguiers Ultimate Detailer. The finish it was giving off on the cars was great so i could help but get myself a bottle of the stuff and used it after cleaning the 133 today and the finish is great so maybe i have found a new detailer to use

so your saying its better than red mist?

Interesting.....

Two didferent style of products but both excellent

High praise. How does the meguiars compare in terms of cost per use?

P.S. Like the addition to your car description maggi

hehe changed it last week was waiting for someone to notice!

I noticed yesterday but thought I had missed something and couldn't find the thread

Nice combination thread!

And back on topic, both are excellent products, but neither touch my favourite zaino z8. However, chemical guys v7 (of which I got the first uk retail bottle through much persistance ;)) is a real beauty of a product and works really, really well. These are all technically spray sealants rather than quick detailers though...

Well i find it goes along way after doing 9 Renaultsports on sunday there was still plenty left to go round them all again

Easily doable with a small red mist bottle ;) spray, spread, buff :)

But as I pointed out, the comparison is not like for like. One being more of a quick detailer with added protection. And the other being a purely protectional product, a spray sealant

Exactly what I was going to say. Red Mist is a spray sealant rather than a quick detailer so it leaves a layer or protection.

The Megs stuff is a quick detailer that happens to leave a bit of a protection behind. Personally though, I found that if you use it in warm weather it leaves marring behind but overally it's not a bad product. I do prefer Chemical Guys Speed Wipe as a quick detailer though.

Which one is that alex. I have a gallon of all 3, and a gallon of v7

I bought a gallon bottle of this one, after I got through a small bottle and was impressed.

Tis very good stuff although I'm not using CleanYourCar.co.uk anymore :(

How comes? I got all 3 off david g for a very good price ;) but I do have most chemcial guys products

It's not the pricing so much as the lack of communication. I've ordered numerous times from them and most of my detailing gear I own has been from them.

On two ocassions when I've had to contact them, they just haven't bothered to come back to me.

The last order I placed with them tried to be delivered by the courier while I was at work. They tried twice and like other orders I expected to go pick it up from their depot. Instead they sent it back to CYC. When I mailed them to ask about my order and if it was possible to have it re-sent to another address (my work) they never bothered to come back to me, quite literally no contact to advise on what had happened to it.

It was a £50 order so not the smallest but they're obviously not that fussed so I went elsewhere and actually got the products cheaper from Shinerama. Shame really but to be honest I'd rather deal with a company who bothers to get back to loyal customers considering I've spent about £900 with them.
