Well I drove one a while back whilst looking at new cars, but ruled it out for a few reasons, but never drove it back to back with the twingo. So today decided to visit a dealer and give one a dam good thrashing. Which I did  and pleased to say I will not be leaving twingo ownership any time soon! In a straight it didn't feel much quicker, if any tbh, the torque certainly made it easier around town but a handful once you tried booting it without launching yourself into the nearest kerb/wall as you floor it through a tunnel and the torque steer kicks in

I got to take it along the roads I like ot drive the twingo fast, and all that greeted my was slippage at the front end. Lots and lots and lots of understeer where the twingo has to go MUCH faster to achieve.

Shame the interior is such a bloody nice place to be and that gearbox is such a joy to use! Really puts the renault to shame, but the price difference makes up for it :p Just thought I would share my thoughts

Good to know. Do they still have the shiny bit on the top of the dash? Used to make impossible to see the road in the sun. Drove a 1.2 when they very first came out.

I left my sunglasses in the 133 actually and it was very, veyr sunny today and didn't notice it tbh. This was a 59 plate and the dealer made me a very attractive deal on it, but I was only there to compare it to mine to see how they fared back to back as I never did it last time. This one was in the right colour scheme though, black with white decals and white chequers on the roof. Really did look the part, much better than creame with red
