I currently use a Meguiars Drying Towel but to be honest, its a bit crap, it aint very big so you cant get all the way round the car and it leaves white bits everywhere.

Just wondered if anyone could recommend a decent one?

Thanks

Dave

Erm i Have this

I quite like the blue and red ones from cleanyourcar and other various suppliers though. Very absorbant and big enough to do a few cars.

Yup that's the one. It's very good. If you hunt around you can find them cheaper though. Autobrite do them in a group buy iirc.

And I still use a towel for the body (usually one of them) and then the blower for shuts and wheels and gaps. The blower is a chemical guys one

I use 3 normal kitchen towels :) works a Treet o and a turtle wax blade, blade it down a towel for all the excess then one for all the water in the wingmirrors and in the door bumpers and thing that hide the water and the last one for the Final sweep :) then radiator to dry them out :D

i have one which is fairly big which i bought a while ago off cleanyourcar. it worked well first time but its a bit dirty now so dont use it until i get round to washing it that is.

Dont wash with either fabric softner or washing powder remember :)

Nnnoooooooooo :(  :?

Then again, it's your right to do whatever you want. Waffle weave drying towel, is a bit safer as theres much less chance for scratches if they are clean.

MF cleaning
For mucky cloths or ones with products on them, a bowl of washing liquid and a good hand wash to break down weaxes/sealants, followed by machine wash at 30-40deg with no detergent or softener. Every other wash, add about 50ml of white vinegar to the wash

I use the big fluffy drying towels from CleanYourCar.co.uk as well, thoroughly impressed with them. I had a few Sonus drying towels which were good but inconsistent, some worked brilliantly other weren't, most odd.

The ones from CYC are brilliant though. I use two, one for the upward facing surfaced that retain the water, then another for the rest.

Only thing is that if you're machine washing them, don't put them in with anything else unless you want that blue as well. And as Maggi says, don't use fabric softener as it affects the absorbency of fabrics but I use washing powder with no ill effects but I do put my cloths on for a very long wash.

exactly the same one, i did double check before i ordered it and posted it on here

i think everyone will be ordering them, lol. ive decided ebay is the future for car detailing stuff. its well cheap on there

i ordered 2 as well. the weather best be good weds, lol or my dads garage is being invaded whether hes busy or not
