Budget tyres  Yes, of course you could grip more and brake harder in the wet with decent tyres. Did you really need to ask?oscar":1pmt0903 said:Problem is i have budget tyres for daily drives to work and it rains alot and you hardly need to touch the brakes when its heavily raining for the abs to frighten the life out of me so i wanted to get some maxxis or toyos and ebc upgrade pads. Do you think i could grip more and brake a fair bit harder in the wet with good tyres before the abs would kick in?

Michelin PS3 are well rated by the Clio Trophy boys. I was torn between these and the AD08 but went 08 which have a much stiffer sidewall and havent been disappointed in the feel or performance. However, they will be comming off for winter.oscar":3n7767gd said:Avon zv3's which are fair tyres mid rangers nothing special but getting low on tread so i really want to get some ebc yellows and grooved black brembo discs to go with new alloys. Looking at rota grids so i best get some premium rubber onto them. Cup of tea and a browse through the tyre review on here lol
Prioritise what you want as, with both brakes and tyres there's a trade off somewhere.oscar":3g41pwko said:Might give the ebc a sideswerve and look into brembo or ferodos not high end ones but something better than oem tha doesnt throw of as much brake dust as oem. Have any of you guys got or had slotted / grooved discs?

Renault gave me 2 different prices for the same pads. Ask for aftermarket genuine Renault pads. One price was £246 including fitting and the other was £132 which was be far the cheapest quote I got
