So had EE (old t-mobile) phone me yesterday hello Darren because you've been with us for 14 years we wanna offer you the best deals witch made me go into one. I politely said if u want to offer me the best deals then stop putting both my iPhone line rentals up by 1.3% every year I signed on good deal contract to witch you keep taking the mick. He then replied if you have a problem with that you'll need to deal 150 and talk to customer service to witch I said you just told me your from there. He then put the phone down bellend

That sounds like a very useful customer service call....

I've ditched em.

Their offer to me (from a contract with unlimited everything - heavily discounted after a previous muck up) was an iPhone 5 with 250mb data...

It wasn't even very cheap.

Since Orange have become EE I've nothing but issues with signal, where I didn't before. Dropped calls despite full signal. People call me and it goes straight to answer phone, despite full signal. Texts going walkabouts in cyberspace only to reappear weeks later.

Loyalty means nothing Daz. Best to approach someone as a new customer than stick with EE.

I'm not saying any of the UKs major service providers are better than others, but EE has gone down hill IMO. And as a customer of 13 years I've had no hesitation in swapping as a result of the useless conversations to try and resolve my issues with them.

Unless your tied into a current contract, ( i suspect your not as otherwise they wouldnt be trying to get you tied up) dial 150 and ask for your PUC code so you can go elsewhere. That should get them asking why ^^^mention the above and other deals for them to match or beat. That will probably be followed with a better offer.

If they don't play and you can get better service elsewhere, just get the PUC code and give them notice

You mean the PAC code. PUK code is for when you've blocked your phone e.g. you've entered your pin wrong too many times.

But yeah, this usually results in a better offer once you show your willing to leave.

Close :( I've had a day of TLAs at a works seminar.

Yep, look into other options first, as just asking for your code without showing your prepared probably wont end with the best deal.

I've also left them back in January. They didn't have the phone I wanted which was the main reason but I was Interested at the time if the iPhone 5 and wanted to know the deals. Even though I had been with them for at least 6 years they wouldn't give me any discount or even help me with any other deals.
In the end I swapped to 3 which had the phone I wanted and the contract to match. Also the customer service has been fantastic

For both my iPhones it's costin me £100 a month. I've got a year left on mine and 2 months on my missis iPhone. We're not gonna bother with them anymore because we don't use them for what there ment for

I'm lucky as I have an orange and a 3 mast right near my house. The only thing is where I work I struggle for signal most days. But I talk to Maggi through whatsapp all the time so doesn't affect us.
EE also kept uping my bill and then sending a letter a week later to tell me. Was so frustrating as I was paying almost £50 a month for the dam thing. Moving company's and onto android was the best decision I made.

Yeah I'm not gonna bother with a iPhone again

I bought my iPhone 5 from the Orange shop in October last year and I've had no problems with them since, even in the changeover to EE. The signal has been much improved over my old iPhone 4 which I had through O2, and the only issue was when I phoned up to inquire about more data, which they refused (even though my dad, on the same contract, was allowed to drop some of his minutes in favour of more data no problem...)

Good one I had though when the contract on my old iPhone expired was Giffgaff. Even though they use O2's network you can't fault their level of service, seeing as the entire thing is all managed online through your account, with all sorts of forums there too with admins that were helpful and friendly. Plus 300 minutes, unlimited texts + data for £12? Can't complain! I miss Giffgaff

Heres what i did..

About 2 years ago i got an iphone 4 on contract, was paying £30 a month..
After a year my dad got a £10 discount on all his contracts.. So i was instantly payin £25

When the iphone5 came out my sister was due for an upgrade..
At this point my iphone 4 just stopped working and i got a brand new one for free

I noticed online, the iphone 4 and 5 contracts were exactly the same cost per month, except you had to pay for the iphone 5 handset, the 4 was free

She only wanted a 4, so i gave her £30 (which was how much she needed to pay upfront)
And i had an iphone 5 on a contract for £25.. Shoulda cost £45!

Unlim mins , 1gb, unlim texts

Not bad!

When my contract ends in jan, im just gonna go sim only with whoever is cheapest for what i need, hope to be paying like £15-20 for an iphone 5 woop.. Then iphone 6 will be out and ill be pissed offf -.-

I've sacked off long term contracts. After 6/7 years I'm sick of paying £40, £36, then the last contract was £30 a month. Now after three months with virgin (30 day aim only) I've got 1200mins, unlimited texts and data for £9 a month, no cash back or claims. Signal has been excellent and has put Vodafone too shame which gradually got worse over the last 3 years
