Hi guys and girls, my twingo rs has been suffering with emobaliser problems as to what happens basically you can't unlock the car so manually have to unlock then engine will not turn over because the engine emobaliser is still on to make it work you have to disconnect the battery but I'm sending to renault under warranty to get it checked out

Has anyone else had the same problem with there?

Take out fuse and put it back in :)

Common problem

I had this problem a week or two ago and hasn't been a problem since I pulled the fuses and put them back in.

I think it's pretty common. I had this problem 2 years ago at FCS. 5am in the morning with a convoy of cars waiting to go...not the best time.
As soon as it was pulled out it worked fine and never had a problem again

Just had it back from the dealer and they said it's under investigation by renault as they have found a fault in the emboliser itself and I can't see taking the fuse out and putting it back in would make any difference to this problem even though you say it does

well if it's under investigation by renault, phone renault uk up and ask about the details. inform them that under warranty conditions THEY have two options, either repair the immobiliser or replace it with one that works and do not give them any legroom to negotiate. how stern can you sound on the telephone?

ask them for proof that they are under investigation, also ask them to log your problem and backdate it so that if your car runs out of warranty once the problem is fixed they will still need to fix your problem as your problem occured during warranty period and you were told to 'wait till we find the solution'. i enjoy making corporations sweat on the phone!
