...your favourite road totally empty, the conditions perfect, the car working perfectly and everything hooking up to make for the best drive you think you might have ever had?

I just did, and I'm grinning ear to ear :D :D

I've been across the same stretch of road in various cars as a passenger, and I can safely say never as quick as that! Everything just hooked together, and not a single car in sight! :D

I sometimes find that along the road from my house to the nearest bypass... i just picture myself driving along in a nice little bentley like in that doomsday film... no one around and just me :)

Yeah years ago in my 205 gti perhaps my most fave road empty aswel. Let's just say the oil temp gauge was well up the scale and the car just had that been thrashed smell

yes! goodwood @ silly o'clock on an eve much like tonight its perfect!

Hmm actually I just remembered that time I got to rag my car across the grounds at knebworth house chasing my sisters boyfriends mini JCW and him not getting away one little bit. That's right up there as well  but that was still high up!

As for this drive, a fair distance covered in the space of New Born by muse with time to spare :p not that I was actually listening much!

yeah during the day you get that it sucks! But on a night like tonight its pretty spot on, and you can pull in to one of the look out spots and do some star gazing and then drive it all over again :D lol

damn I really want to go out now!! shame I have to be up at silly o'clock instead!

I have, it was chasing my Dad in his Hyundai Coupe Rally Car in my Rally Prepped 25 when I was a fair bit younger.

My dad went home after a while but I was marshalling a selective up near Knockhill with my mate. The rally finished and I gave him the map and plotted a Route, "Get us Home" I said to him.

Found an amazing road at 3am on a Sunday morning, car was behaving itself brilliantly (rare occasion) and just had a proper focused thrash back home on some Brilliant roads. It was a brilliant drive.

renault 25 v6 turbo = a massive boat but goes like **** of a shovel

I went on a route i made up on about 5 different long country roads.. I just wish i new if something was comeing the other way! ide come up to a tight corner, just enough for 2 cars thinking only the worst could happen :(

If i knew nothing was comeing i would dominate that route! such a good test for any car :)

Well joys of driving lanes at night... you know whos coming the other way (assuming they all run lights on )

Last time I did a run out to the Eco triangle o managed 3 'laps' without seeing another car. Very good
