got some nice new slightly illegal sidelights today

went to put them in 1st one no bother

2nd put in didnt work pulled out and it dropped inside headlight

and to top it off one of HIDs stopped working

Can the headlight be removed and stripped down or is it a sealed unit

cheers

Sealed. You maybe able to crack them open and attempt to reseal, only tried this once and never managed to reseal properly, they opened up when hot, ended up buying new.

the led has fallen down the front of unit so you cant actually see it anymore so looks like itll be staying there lol

take the light unit out and shake the shi*t out of it til the bulb falls out :?
its a great game

Theres an LED bulb rattling about in my drivers side headlight. Even with the bumper off, I couldn't be bothered removing the headlight to retreive it as it can't normaly be seen and just rattles about in the bottom of the light

I was busy doing the coolant hoses at the time.... Well that's my excuse

Safe and sound out of harms way in the center left of the pic

haha, thats a class one ^^

If its visible then best bet would be to take it all out and shake it till the sun don't shine!

you've tried to get it out with a flexible magnet? Or when that isn't available, a iron wire with a sticky bubblegum?

You know what I nearly had exactly the same problem!

Went to fit a set of quad LED sidlight bulbs to the Mrs 133. Put one in and it went out, as I went to take the bulb housing out it left the bulb with the back end just sticking out. Enough for me to remove.

I can only imagine taking the headlight out and shaking it like a mofo would do the trick.

On a different note, are LED sidelights illegal? I notice you referred to them as slightly illegal, is it because they are coloured? I've fighted white LED sidelights in both Twingos and didn't think it'd be a problem.

wake up on a morning hmm i wish i never did wake up i enjoy sleeping lol

Mines are White LED's but when on the look blue but I use my sidelights more than my headlights drive by both traffic and beat police the don't even look to be honest but to remark on the post name. I wouldn't have a cracked side skirt and alloys that's had more hits than the beetles so I wouldn't worry about led stuck in the headlight unit :s
