Got my new car today!!

All the swapping and changing paid off and I finally got the keys to my new beast - a 2010 clio I music diesel. It is the first diesel I have ever owned (learnt in one but that was over 6 years ago) - I must say it is surprisingly pokey! obviously not twingo GT/RS speeds but it is very capable!

Took it up to chester today to see a friend, this is a round trip of 160 miles give or take, and I am amazed the the petrol gauge has only just ticked off full - the range is now reading 607 miles til empty!

My sister was a bit of a slow driver with it before so the slightest bit of flooring ( I mean below 2.5k revs) and it chucks out a fair bit of black smoke - calmed down after the long drive and doesnt do it anymore - which is a relief.

Had it freshly serviced and taxed today (ouch) so nothing has been done to it yet.

Here it is :D

Tomorrow the I music and clio badge will be coming off - along with the 3 stickers renault fill the back window with! got some carbon wrap on order for the front lower bumper lip. Window tint film (light) will also be going in when ever it arrives!

I want to change the colour of the wheels and wingmirrors to a metallic grey like the rs133 wheels :) - no tuning to the engine as of yet and no GT styling - dont want to be accused of making a sheep in wolfs clothing as it is a lowly mud plugger :)

Do the gt styling if you like it...who cares what people think. It's your car so if it makes you happy and puts a smile on your face, ignore everyone else!!

GT styling may be a possibility as it certainly isnt a slouch of a car anymore, still surprising me!

yesterday I tinted the rear windows, removed the i music, clio badges and all renault eco stickers etc. looks nice and empty at the back now :) just need to find a place to get the wheels painted :D

picture may follow tonight (cant take one now as my car is blocked in my garage by road works (damn new build)

Do it! It'd be cool :) I want to get rid of the clio and renault badges on the back of mine...how easy is it?

clio came off freakishly easy - just put some thread or dental floss behind it (acting like a saw) and then I put loadsa furniture polish on it to remove the sticky pads. I havent removed the renault badge as i think that may be covering some holes in the boot lid if i take it off.

the tce (or in my case dci) badges came off very easily for a nice clean look in the same way as with the imusic badges. I have also tinted the fog lights with yellow light tint paint :)

starting to look like a nice little motor!
