Yay, Nay?

Anyone got any experiences with them?

Going to look at one on monday...

Offered my car + £300

Twingo GT, 08, 35,000 miles

Am I losing out here?

IMO......dull

but Good engine, a mate of mine had a PD130 engined golf remapped and its manages 175bhp + 300lbs, smokes like a bugger though

New ones are great, old ones can be troublesome reading reviews and they diesel engines are not as strong as the petrol ones, but it's a skoda vrs so will go like stink :)

I've looked at them before and I like them. They've got some good - usable torque and should last pretty well.

Don't know what the offer is on your car, or how much the fabia is listed as, but there's quite a few of them around with a lot lower miles than that. Having said that, my housemate runs a 1.6 petrol octavia, tbh doesn't look after it properly and it's pretty bullet-proof with 120K on the clock.

I know they're not directly in your region - but there's plenty like these about.

You need something more interesting!

That doesn't seem a great deal to me either?

@Rob Id like to but I've moved (been kicked out) and now I'm 45miles away from work... So a 90m round trip everyday... Ergo need a diesel.

@Maggi I think they are pretty exciting, you can't find a bad review of them really... I know it's a diesel but I think there quite a drivers car.

@General +DrDrew

The fabia is up for 5k. So I think it's a good deal. It's just the mileage I have to concern myself with.
I appreciate the link.. But I don't really have any money to spend on a new car, so I was looking for a straight swap or very close part-ex. And mine definatly isn't worth near 6k

Im about to do a 92 mile round trip for work.... i can average 42 mpg on it though thankfully!

Sounds like a good deal, but the fabia vrs is a very dull car.

My mate with the pd130 golf manages 60mpg running from chorley to Blackpool everyday.

So the savings could be there but I'm unsure if that will be massively better than your twingo, plus your ending up in a older car with more miles on the clock

Plus, you may find it starts to become unreliable with the amount of miles on it, so costing u more than the extra cost of petrol on the twingo
