And at least I'm feeling more enthusiastic about the cars too!

Spent the last 3 months having our house extended, having gone from a 2 bedroom bungalow to what on paper is now a 4 bedroom house but also had the kitchen/dining room knocked through and made into a new kitchen diner.

What's made it more stressful is that not only did it take three separate kitchen fitters to finish that, meaning we had no kitchen for 2 months. We've had to use our lounge/spare room as storage so been living out of the bedroom/bathroom.

Plus the building firm ran out of our money so it's cost us more to get finished and taken a month longer than expected, watch this space for the small claims court case coming soon!! haha

But what it does mean is that I can start enjoying the house, my shiny new TV I treated myself too and get back into playing with and detailing my cars!!

Good to hear the works finished even though it was stressful. Get out detailing it will make you feel relaxed in no time.

Alex I kind of know how you feel... About 6 weeks ago the work started on our extension, which was fine as there was no major disruption to the house until they knocked though. The work has just started on the new kitchen, everything from kitchen and the kids play room is everywhere, only the two kids rooms are bereft of the clutter.

Sick to death of stepping over stuff, sick of plaster dust everywhere, sick of not being able to clean the car (even me).

Great news Alex.

Only stress you've still got to look forward to is being bent over by the council for the extra council tax. :x

Hows the Clio? Room to wash it now? :)

Thanks the replies chaps. Well we're getting the inside sorted out now so it's getting more livable by the day. Carpeting goes in on Thursday and hard flooring downstairs on Friday. Then we can start unpacking the other rooms of all the stuff we've stored.

Itching to get out and give the cars a good detail that's for sure. :)

weebob - I feel you pain mate, in terms of dust we actually taped up the other rooms so they're unaffected as we couldnt use them anyway but it is a pain having to step over stuff, avoid dirt etc. It will be worth it but it's probably the most stressful thing to live with that I've experienced that's for sure.

Will get some pics up soon too. :)
