getting extremely bored sending out CVs and p*ssed off that the boot metal work is all scratched from shopping trips etc.
50% of the time the car is left striped at the back and the damn tin of beans rolls out onto the bear metal, so in my extreme borediness i might make a fibreglass floor plan to save damaging body work when transporting food or spare wheels when we go to track.
i kind of ghetto it when i do fibreglassin and carbon. most people use wax on the surface so the resin/sheets dont stick... have you seen the damn price of the liquid stuff or such a small bottle. now brown tap is the smart mans way, the shiny side doesn't allow the resin to bond to it allowing skin caste to be piled off.
thinking i might to up to wear the carpet starts in the back, and tape down the hole floor and tyre well and coat over it for flush skin. might remove the side panels as there normally removed on track and tape up there and skin it. thinking i might do one left side then right. if i tried doing all in one go i wouldnt be able to get it out of the car if access to the metal is needed.
might see how this goes, would love to do it in carbon but sheets i normally get aint large enough, would have to order the size that is used for skinning bonnies which starts to jack up the price in layers, but could lay down fibreglass, kevlar so its not brittle and then top layer carbon.
was thinking it might do some tyre well skins for people, as i dont know about you but i use my cup wheel for a spare and dread everything i put it back in with scratchin it and leave a towel at the bottem. would people be interested in it, not made from carbon or for show just a bit of protection, although i do want to order some carbon with blue weave strands
